Andrea Bianchi

Since October 2023 I am a postdoctoral researcher in algebraic topology at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn.

Previously, I was a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen (October 2020-September 2023) and a postdoc at the University of Bonn (April-September 2023). I completed my PhD at the University of Bonn in April 2020, under the supervision of Carl-Friedrich Bödigheimer. For more details, see my CV.

I am interested in moduli spaces of manifolds and graphs, configuration spaces of manifolds, representations of braid groups and mapping class groups of surfaces, Hurwitz spaces, categories of cobordisms, string topology, operads and their algebras, homotopy theory, homology computations.

I organise the WIQI Topology seminar together with Kaif Hilman.

In the summer semester 2024 I am teaching the course Homology and Homotopy of Configuration Spaces at the University of Bonn, together with Luciana Bonatto.
